Grade Five Poster Contest
Creative minds wanted! Do you want to score brownie points with your students? Then why not sign up your grade five class for a poster contest?
Originated by Legal Aid Ontario some 16 years ago, the Law Day Grade Five Poster Contest is a great opportunity for grade five students to learn and demonstrate an understanding of the rights of Canadians, including those specified in the Charter as outlined in the Ontario curriculum on Canada and World Connections - Aspects of Government in Canada.
Students are encouraged to create a poster about the Charter of Rights and Freedoms, that depicts the 2008 Law Day theme - JUSTICE! Students can express themselves using any type of material (i.e. poster paper, bristol board, crayons, paints, etc.)
This contest is a fantastic opportunity to teach and learn in a fun and unique way. Regional and school winners will receive great prizes and all students will receive a certificate just for participating!
Information
- Open to English and French Grade 5 classes in Ontario.
